My Old Clamming Buddy

My good friend Nat was not only a clamming buddy, but one of my favorite models ever. I hope this captures him, as I remember him, happy to head out and dig some clams, which we would often enjoy with martinis. His boathouse and catboat complete the scene. I am happy to say that this new painting won Best of Show in the Summer National Exhibition 2026 at Cape Cod Art Association.

It is currently in the Academic Artists Association 76th Annual National Exhibition of Traditional Realism, where it has won First Prize in Acrylics. You can find details on my events page.
