A wonderful dramatic moment is just after a summer storm, when the clouds are clearing and the sun comes out, but the dark skies remain. I wanted to capture that effect, which lasts a short time. This is a farm near my Mystic home, which I see in all seasons and all kinds of weather. It was recently included in the Allied Artists of America 110th Juried Exhibition at the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio. It was also part of the virtual show online.

One of my favorite of my recent paintings, I am happy to say that was also chosen for the Salmagundi Club's 139th Annual Members Exhibition at the Club's galleries at 47 Fifth Avenue in 2022.

It was first shown at the 2022 New England Landscape Exhibit at Lyme Art Association, where it was awarded First Prize.

It was also included in the Rockport Art Association and Museum National 2022 in Massachusetts and in 2023 in New Jersey at the Ridgewood Art Institute 43rd Annual Juried Show, where it won the Hudson Valley Art Association Award.

It was also chosen for the National Oil and Acrylic Painters (NOAPS) Fall international Online Exhibition 2022.

One of three of my paintings chosen as a finalist in the 17th Art Renewal Center Salon International Competition online at www.artrenewal.org starting in January 2025.

Sold at Hughes Gallery of Boca Grande, FL
