Clams for Dinner

I love painting clammers and have done quite a few. Most of them are on Cape Cod, mostly in Chatham, as is this one. The quahogs are plentiful  there and I love going out at low tide to get inspiration. I am happy to say that this one was chosen for Hudson Valley Art Association's 87th Annual National Exhibition and received the Rayma Spaulding Memorial Award. 

It was then chosen for the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Best of America 2020 where it has won an Award of Merit.
