Pas De Quatre

Design and movement are the focus of the painting. I love the dance of these small skiffs as they shift with the wind and motion of the tide.

I chose not to show any of them in full, just their sterns at angles to each other, naturally bobbing about. Of course the water is a part of it as well, its movement creates the action. Each dinghy also has great texture which I can't resist. 

Before going to Hughes Gallery as part of my 2019 show, "Pas de Quatre" was included in the 39 Annual International Marine Art Exhibition at Mystic Seaport Museum.
